As a training company, we were given the opportunity to present our apprenticeships as machine and plant operators and cutting machine operators specializing in CNC automatic turning technology to the 8th grade class of the Grund- und Werkrealschule (GWRS) Villingendorf. This gave the students an authentic insight into the training, its course and working life after successfully passing the final examination. Training ambassadors in class 8a/b: company Lauble

On April 21, the company Lauble visited the eighth graders as training ambassadors. Founded in 1965 and now based in Dunningen, the company manufactures precision turned parts

But what is that anyway? What processes does it take? And what can be so difficult about "drilling"? What does it depend on? What does a "lathe operator" do and what does "turning" actually mean? What materials are used, what are the differences between them, and how are the various properties of the materials exploited? What wishes and requirements do customers have and how important is quality control, also from an economic point of view? ... These and other exciting questions were discussed together with the young people.

Furthermore, the training ambassadors also introduced the apprenticeship professions of machine and plant operator and cutting machine operator offered at the Lauble company, addressing the differences with regard to the respective areas of activity and responsibility of the professions to be learned.

The requirements in terms of soft skills, which are important in these professions, were also emphasized: in addition to methodological skills and an analytical mindset, diligence, social skills such as the ability to work in a team and the ability to take criticism, as well as personal skills such as a high level of self-motivation, commitment and curiosity are among the qualities and strengths that are welcomed.

Various viewing material such as various turned parts and products, machine parts, drills and milling cutters, waste chips and shorter videos illustrated the lecture and an interactive quiz game about the previously discussed content rounded off the visit.
